The Grassroots Rising Slate is a true grassroots coalition of union workers, parents, young people, seniors, disability advocates, small business owners, & community leaders. For far too long, we’ve seen the growing dissatisfaction with a Democratic Party that feels out of touch with everyday people. We are concerned with a shift in the party that has allowed corporate control and big money interests to hold influence while too many of us living in San Francisco and North San Mateo County struggle to afford rent, groceries, healthcare, and other essential needs.

It’s time to swing the pendulum of power back to the people and communities.

That’s why we are running to be your California Assembly Delegates, independent of those who already hold institutional power in the Democratic Party. As movement leaders, we understand how to organize by uniting communities and democratizing power so that the Democratic Party is accountable to all of us, not just the elite few.
