The California Democratic Party Bylaws (Article VI) provide that Assembly District Election Meetings (ADEMs) be held in each of the 80 Assembly districts of California in February of each odd-numbered year.
In these odd numbered years, we elect seven “self-identified female” and seven “other than self-identified female” to be Assembly District Delegates (ADDs) to represent the Assembly District they are registered in. These elections are open to all California Democrats.
Unfortunately, unlike "regular" elections, we are not automatically eligible to vote. Each ADEM cycle, we are all required to re-register to vote in the upcoming ADEM process.
This year the in-person election will be held on Saturday, February 22 and Sunday, February 23, 2025.
